Volunteer

Volunteering is a great way to give back some of your time. There are several opportunities to volunteer within the Our Promise campaign – you can be a Loaned Executive, Key Connector, Department Campaign Chair or a Leadership Team Member. We also encourage people to volunteer with a local nonprofit that they feel passionately about. California Volunteers is a great way to get connected with volunteer opportunities in your local community.

The Our Promise campaign allows you to make a promise to your community by making a real difference.

Key Connector

Key Connectors are committed, passionate advocates identified and recruited by the statewide Department Campaign Chairs. They’re responsible for the solicitation of a specific number of employees in a department. They are active members of the team and are vital in helping the Our Promise campaign reach its $6.4 million goal. The way to accomplish this goal is to have “100% Ask.” Key Connectors are primarily responsible for the distribution, collection and verification of all pledge forms and  inspiring others to contribute to the collective impact of Our Promise.

The Loaned Executive works with state departments by managing new and existing relationships, assisting them with their campaigns, supporting volunteers within the departments, and serving as your agency/departments ambassador to various state employees and the nonprofit community. Loaned Executives communicate the importance of a charitable giving campaign to potential, new and existing donors.
