Leadership Giving

Leadership Giving

An annual gift of $1,000 or more qualifies you to be a Leadership Giver. Through the convenience of payroll deduction, this can be achieved for a minimum monthly deduction of $83.34 – only $2.74 per day. We honor our gracious Leadership Givers every year by recognizing them with a certificate and gift that are delivered to each recipient usually in January. We also recognize the Department or Agency with the most Leadership Givers at our annual Thank You breakfast held in March. For the past two years, Department of Transportation has been the leader.

2016 Exceptional Leadership Achievement Award
Department of Transportation

The Exceptional Leadership Achievement Award, is given each year to the department with the most leadership level donors (giving $1,000 or more), and was awarded to the Department of Transportation for their efforts in 2016.

Leadership Donors really take “a little goes a long way” to another level. We thank all of you leadership donors for your generous contributions throughout the year. Thank you for Caring for California – Every Day. All Year.

Why I am a leadership giver through Our Promise

Philanthropy \Phi*lan”thro*py\, n. [L. philanthropia, Gr. ?: cf. F. philanthropie.] Love to mankind; benevolence toward the whole human family; universal good will; desire and readiness to do good to all men; — opposed to misanthropy   ~ Webster’s Dictionary

I love the idea of being a philanthropist because the very definition is to do good for the whole human family or the community.  I give through Our Promise because it fosters a sense of community among state workers to take care of each other and people in the communities where we live.
