A certified youth internship program that builds awareness of the work world, employer expectations, job seeking skills and job keeping skills. Requires disconnected or at-risk youth to participate and/or complete mock interviews.
Folsom’s Hope works in partnership with the local public schools in Folsom that have the highest need in terms of at-risk students. We provide mentoring and after school programming, as well as in-class support for teachers, parent education for parents of students in our programs, and various other opportunities for support for students and their families.
Promoting equitable and vibrant communities through food access and revitalization: CalFresh (Food Stamp) processing and incentive programs at Farmers’ Markets; Kitchen Incubator; vacant lot beautification.
Fighting poverty, hunger and injustice through partnerships and locally originated community development programs; responding to disasters with emergency supplies and reconstruction of homes and livelihoods.
