Build United: United Way of Stanislaus County strongly believes in the importance of nonprofit capacity building. Until an organization can build the capacity to reach the “point of innovation”- and stay there-it’s unlikely to be able to meet the needs of the population it serves in the long term.
United Way realizes that there is no better way to increase efficiency, breakdown silos, and make bigger impact than to intentionally invest in nonprofits. We equip nonprofits with tools, through peer learning sessions, capacity assessment exercises, and funding to strengthen their effectiveness and fulfill their missions.
211 Stanislaus County: We play the role of connector for community residents as they look for resources to support themselves and their families. 211 is a free resource referral service that is available for any county resident in need of resources that include access to food, shelter, utility and rental assistance, mental health, domestic violence support, and many more.
