Updating Your Our Promise Account
Managing your gift is as easier than ever!

If you have donated to the Our Promise campaign in previous years, your account information will populate in the new Our Promise California State Employees Giving Portal.

1. REGISTER via Cal Employee Connect.

To get started, visit Cal Employee Connect to create your account. After September 1, 2020, you will be able to register for an Our Promise account.

2. CREATE your Our Promise Account.

Enter your information. Be sure to enter your home address, email, and phone number (as your work information may change.)

You will receive a verification code in the home email address you provided. When you click on the link, you’ll be taken back to the CA State Employees Giving Portal. 
Enter your new user ID and password to log in.


After you have created and verified your account, you will be able to see your current designation.

From here, you will be able to:


After a confirmation screen, you’re all done. You have chosen to continue on as an Our Promise donor. Thank you for keeping California strong for all!


The next screen will allow you to make changes to your donation. You may change, remove, or add nonprofit organizations to your donation. You may also change the amount(s) that you’ve designated. The payroll donation changes are effective with the first pay period in January 2021.


Payroll deduction cancellations will be effective after the last pay period in December 2020.

All designations will go into effect with the first pay period in January 2021. With the new CA State Employees Giving Portal account you’ve created, you will be able to log in to make changes at any time.


Be sure to review your current selections and the total designated amount. If everything is correct, click CONFIRM, and you’ll see a final summary screen to print for your records.

CONGRATULATIONS! From there, you’re done.

Once we receive and process your pledge form, your donation(s) will automatically be deducted from your paycheck each month starting in January 2021 and will continue monthly until you make a change or choose to no longer contribute.
