Resources for Independent Living – Virtual Nonprofit Fair
Providing peer-support for people with disabilities since 1976
Resources for Independent Living (RIL) has been serving Sacramento and Yolo counties for over 40 years. During this pandemic, RIL continues to keep its mission to support the socio-economic independence of persons with disabilities. They do so by providing peer-supported, consumer-directed independent living services and advocacy.
The entire focus of the Independent Living Movement is the realization that freedom to make choices and the ability to live in the community is a basic civil right that should be extended to all people, regardless of disability.
Services include, but are not limited to:
- Peer counseling
- Individual and Systems Advocacy
- Independent Living Skills Training
- Assistive Technology
- Transition from Institutions
