California’s Our Promise organization unveiled its new website today – showcasing a modern, user friendly design aimed at making charitable giving even easier.  Since 1957, Our Promise: California State Employees Giving at Work has offered California State employees the opportunity to utilize payroll deductions to support charitable organizations they feel passionate about.  The redesigned website is part of the organization’s 60th anniversary celebration, featuring new functionalities such as enhanced navigation and more streamlined search capabilities.

“From its inception, Our Promise has been focused on providing State employees with easy, straightforward access to charitable giving,” says Tabitha Angel, Director of Our Promise. “The launch of our completely upgraded website builds on that commitment by serving as a resource for employees to not only learn about giving, but to see firsthand how their contributions are making a difference.”

Annually, Our Promise holds a fundraising campaign held between September 1st and October 31st to educate State employees about their charitable giving options.  During these two months State agencies and departments work to ensure that every State employee be given an informed and educated opportunity to donate. Through the program, employees can give to any 501(c)(3) nonprofit – having as little as $5 per payroll cycle taken out of their wages.  Utilizing a network of 25 geographic campaigns in California, each region is managed by a Principal Combined Fund Drive (PCFD) –the local United Way.
