Earth Day (April 22)
In 1970, 20 million Americans celebrated the first Earth Day and mobilized to call for greater protections for the planet. Many important environmental events have happened on Earth Day since 1970, including the recent signing of the Paris Agreement, as Earth Day continues to be a momentous and unifying day each and every year. World Immunization Week (April 24–30)
During the last week of April, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and global public health partners recognize World Immunization Week – a time dedicated to promoting the use of vaccines to protect people of all ages against diseases and death. CDC’s Global Immunization Division (GID) leads the U.S. Government’s efforts in what is widely recognized as one of the most effective public health missions – vaccination against preventable diseases – a coordinated global mission that saves millions of lives every year.
Autism Acceptance Month
According to the Autism Society of America, the autism community is formally shifting references of ‘Autism Awareness Month’ to ‘Autism Acceptance Month this year to embrace the inclusive goals of the community and aligning with the consistent language autism organizations and individual advocates have been using for years.

California Financial Literacy Month
Throughout the month of April, organizations across the country conduct a variety of events and carry out initiatives designed to improve financial literacy, especially among our nation’s youth, and to promote financial well-being for all consumers.
California Financial Literacy Month is a time to share resources and raise awareness about the importance of financial education, especially now with the economic uncertainties caused by the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
