Meet Pilar Williams
Our Promise Loaned Executive, Health and Human Services Agency

Post
Q & A:

Name, state department or agency

Pilar Williams. I’m a temporary employee through the Health and Human Services Agency.

What do you enjoy most about working as a Loaned Executive on the OP campaign?

I love all of the new people I have met during the campaign, my fellow loaned executives, the United Way staff, the department campaign chairs, and all of the people who  made the campaign possible. There is something special about the people who spend their days doing great things for people and pets in need.

How long have you been involved in or volunteered with the campaign?

This is my first year.

What inspires you to give through the campaign?

I am no longer a State employee, but for years I donated through the campaign.  It was easy, and I knew my contributions were going towards a cause that I cared about.

What nonprofits do you donate time or funds to, and why?

I’m passionate about children and pets. I donate to the SPCA and volunteer at Shriner’s Hospital and the Make a Wish Foundation when time allows.

Any other comments you’d like to add?

Thank you for the opportunity to work on the campaign this year. My time here has inspired me and encouraged me to do more for our community.
