Another successful campaign comes to a close

Post December 7, 2015

The Our Promise campaign ended last month and yet again, state employees continued to show their support and passion for hundreds of nonprofits throughout our state and nation. Thank you! You lead the charge, stepped up to help countless individuals in need, showed your support for your community, and welcomed various nonprofits in to your departments to share information about their work.

Take a look back at the fun we have had this year. Here are just a few of the successes we’ve experienced:
  • The Department of Veteran Affairs, Food and Agriculture and CalTrans hosted a successful combined event, which kicked off the campaign efforts for these three departments statewide.
  • California State University Sacramento had four new leadership donors (those giving $1,000 or more annually) in this campaign.
  • The Department of Conservation hosted a very successful run/walk event and raised $1,000!
  • The Office of Systems Integration hosted 20 nonprofits at their joint department campaign kick-off with the Department of Housing and Community Development
  • The Department of Motor Vehicles created an Our Promise Key Connector training video to help facilitate their campaign this year, which is shared in two parts, one here and part two here.
  • The Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation loaned four employees statewide to become Loaned Executives. These individuals were instrumental in the success of their campaign.

Stay tuned for the campaign results which we’ll announce at the beginning of March 2016!
